Private Health Fund Rebates
Health rebates for speech pathology services can be claimed through your private health insurance. Ring your individual health insurance fund today to see if your specific level of cover entitles you to a rebate for speech pathology services. We have HICAPS available to process claims.
Medicare Rebates - Chronic Disease Management (CDM)/Enhance Primary Care (EPC) Program
Children with chronic conditions and needing team care (2 or more specialists) may be deemed eligible for this program by their local Doctor. A specific referral from your local doctor is required. A rebate for up to a maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year is available. Parents need to present the referral letter at the time of the appointment for all Medicare Rebates. Please ensure you bring your medicare card and your CDM referral addressed to Sarah Creagh, Speech Smart Therapy, to your first appointment. Please note a gap payment is payable at the time of the appointment.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Descent
Children with chronic conditions and needing a team approach may be deemed eligible for this program by their local doctor. A specific referral is required. A rebate for up to 5 sessions per calendar year is available. Parents need to bring the referral letter and medicare card to their first appointment for a medicare rebate to be processed. Please note a gap payment is payable at the time of the appointment.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
If your child has a disability or if there are concerns with their development, they may be eligible to receive support from the NDIS. Read more: NDIS
